20+ classes in 4 months
Y’all, I am so excited and grateful to be teaching 20+ classes between now and the end of the year. I am working with amazing arts, community, and mutual aid organizations and I would love for you to be a part of these classes.
The Sept/Oct Calendar
My current class offerings are listed on the calendar below. The classes are color-coded by location including Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough.
Class Highlights
1. September Bad Art Club (BAC): Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough
Next BAC we will focus on creative journaling and DIY art! Our guest artist is Caleb Gorham, a graphic designer from Durham, North Carolina. He will lead us in an easy way to bind paper to make a journal.
I will lead us in an activity in making Do-It-Yourself laminated bookmarks and painted yard signs. I also ordered a bunch of art accessibility tools we can try out in class :)
Register at bit.ly/badartclub.
Date/time/location: Saturday, Sept. 23 from 2-5 pm at Eno Arts Mill.
2. Mixed Media at Passmore Senior Center: Hillsborough
I am extremely excited to work with Hillsborough’s Passmore Senior Center. These centers serve those ages 55+, so if you are in that age range or know someone who is, these classes are just for you!
I am teaching Mixed Media Art: 3 separate sessions, attend 1 or all 3.
Thursday, Sept. 28

3. Intro to Canva and Graphic Design: Raleigh
I taught Intro to Canva and Graphic Design for the first time! It went really well, and I now have ideas on how to improve for the next session.
Want to learn about digital art, graphic design, and the current state of AI? Join me for Intro to Canva and Graphic Design on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 2-5 pm at the newly opened RUMAH (Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub) in Raleigh. No experience is necessary.
Register at bit.ly/bacraleigh.
4. Creating Historical Murals & Public Art: Raleigh
From start to finish, learn about the process, successes, and challenges of creating the Black Main Street historical sidewalk murals in downtown Raleigh.
