Blackfuturism: a full color spectrum of blackness with TJ Mundy
BAC’s marketing and creative consultant TJ Mundy is organizing their first gallery show, "Blackfuturism: a full color spectrum of blackness". This vibrant, full-color group show highlights Black art and will feature work from TJ and local Black artists. The show will run the full month of February at Eno Arts Mill, with an opening reception on February 2 from 6-9 pm featuring a live DJ set by MaxSunLove.
If you are a Black artist or know someone who would be a good fit for the show, the deadline to submit artwork is January 9 at 11:59 pm. Hope to see you at the reception!
Origin: Creators of the Carolinas with Onicas Gaddis
BAC Guest Artist Onicas Gaddis is one of 3 Carolina artists featured in the new documentary film “Origin: Creators of the Carolinas”. Learn how Onicas’ journey as an artist led him to uncover his family lineage, and get a closer look at his spiritually-engaged creative process.
Watch the trailer below:
Onicas is one of the most generous and spiritually attuned artists I know, who honors the lives of everyone he is connected with and always advocates for artists in his community. “Origin” is an intimately shot film and I highly encourage you to watch the premiere on January 11 at 7:30 pm on SCETV and streaming online.
Beyond Juice: New Mixology Techniques for Dry January with Lukman Awad
Friend of BAC Lukman Awad, the Wellness Center Manager at Current Wellness, is hosting a fantastic new class on January 19, “Beyond Juice: New Mixology Techniques for Dry January and More”. I can tell you personally that Lukman is a creative whiz when it comes to mixing delicious drinks and is one of the most charming professionals I know.
If you are interested in culinary creativity, alcohol-free drinks, and hands-on learning in a beautiful and accessible space, this is the class for you.
