Doodling for Adults at Bad Art Club!
At Bad Art Club we drew patterns and learned about the histories of stripes, checkers, plaid, paisley, geometric, and floral.

Thank you Kathy Shaw-Burnside for leading us in Zentangle-Inspired Art! A highlight of class was “guided doodling” and taking home a framed artwork.
Trust the Process: Stories & Art About Failure
My work “A Dream” will be a part of F-Up Night (FUN) Raleigh and WEIRD Productions’ one-night art show: Trust the Process. This piece is about the 2024 election and my feeling of the death of the dream of gender equality.
From the event organizers: Join us for an unforgettable evening that’s part gallery, part storytelling, and part mistakes—featuring local artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. Through bold works and personal stories, we’ll explore the messy, beautiful process of turning failure into creative gold. Discover the art that almost didn’t happen and hear firsthand from creatives who dared to trust the process - after all, failure is often the first step to brilliance.

I invite you to attend FUN & see all the featured art!

What I’m Reading: Becoming by Michelle Obama
I am listening to Michelle Obama’s 2018 memoir Becoming, here’s why I recommend it:
I love when memoirs are read by the author, and this one is! I enjoy hearing her tell her story.
I find it fascinating to learn about the personal and political landscape of Chicago.
She provides insight into growing up in a family with a disabled parent, limited income, and two high achieving children. She highlights how people around her advocated for themselves and others successfully.
I find it a relaxing listen, and I enjoy writing style.
